Hello, my name is Madi.
I am a comedy writer-performer, spoken word artist, facilitator and award-winning office temp*.
Writing commissions include poetry pieces for the London Underground, BBC One, Huffington Post, Nationwide, KFC and the Natural History Museum.
My solo show, MASSIVE SENSE OF URGENCY, a comedic theatre piece about an office temp who tries to understand capitalism using power-tools and mime, previewed at the Roundhouse in June 2017 after development support from with Battersea Arts Centre and Camden People's Theatre, and most recently at Ovalhouse Theatre working with Kirsty Housley and Eve Leigh.
In August I was commissioned by the Old Vic to perform a selection of the piece as part of a new programme of contemporary monologues.
I was selected to be part of The London Library's Emerging Writer's Programme in 2019 out of over 600 applicants.
See my full performance credits here.
I'm based in London and wear a lot of wool.
